Burn Valley wines are boutique and produced to the highest possible standard. Our head winemaker, Mathew, learnt his trade in New Zealand and his skills and knowledge helps us produce award winning wines.
Our aim is to capture the essence of Norfolk in a bottle and with our vineyard being on Chalk and Flint we have the perfect site to do this.

OUR WINE MAKING ETHOS
Our winemaking ethos is to produce minimalist intervention winemaking from boutique volumes of grapes. Holding your nerve during harvesting is key for picking the grapes at the optimal time.
We produce a combination of wild yeast and culture yeast wines depending on the variety and the vintage, and use selective yeasts from laffort and only add nutrients during fermentation when needed.
Our aim is to produces wines with texture, layering the fruits and complex notes from either Hungarian and French oak with some American on the reds, malolactic fermentation on certain whites, especially Solaris and Chardonnay with lees stirring batonnage on Pinot Gris.
